With over 24 years of experience across Banking and Development finance, Nana Ama has led the design and execution of transformational corporate strategies that drive sustainable institutional growth. She has worked at the intersection of concessional finance, policy, and impact, where she has structured and delivered end-to-end financing solutions across agriculture, agro-processing, import substitution, and export trade.
Her professional experience spans risk management, banking operations, corporate banking, retail and SME banking, as well as oversight of non-bank financial institutions. She has also provided leadership across corporate communications, legal, administration, customer experience, and product development, bringing a holistic and integrated approach to institutional management.
Nana Ama is recognised for her expertise in corporate governance, executive leadership, and talent development, with a strong commitment to building resilient institutions and advancing financial inclusion. As pioneer Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Banking), she led the design and operationalisation of the Ghana Export-Import (EXIM) Bank, establishing its banking architecture, operational frameworks, and execution systems from inception.
Her immediate past role was Deputy Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG). She also serves as a Member of the Trade Finance Technical Working Group on Boosting Intra-African Trade (BIAT) under the AfCFTA framework.
She holds an Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Ghana, an MA in Marketing Communications from the University of Westminster, UK, and a BA in Social Sciences from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (FCIM), and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (FCIMG).
